Great First Pair For Anyone November 1, 2012
Reviewer: Combat Training Center from Green Bay, WI United States
These insteps are a major upgrade over the previous pair of Combat Corner grappling insteps.

Both of our female fighters bought these when they needed their own pair. From the MMA sparring they've done, these have never slid off and still provide ample protection.

Though obviously not as protective as the step up that Combat Corner offers, they offer better mobility and don't require as much adjusting after a scramble.

If you're looking for your first pair of insteps, go with these.

Bought for MMA class November 1, 2012
Reviewer: Drew Brunning from Verona, WI
I got these for use in MMA class and for Muay Thai. I'm very satisfied with them for striking, they slip very little. As far as grappling in them, this can be a bit tricky, but is definitely better than in other shin guards I have tried. The biggest concern about grappling with these is that the Velcro can catch and scratch the skin if the closure system gets yanked on by your partners legs/body.

They go on easily. They can be a challenge to take off.

Shin Guards October 16, 2010
Reviewer: Jake Klipp from Milwaukee, WI United States
I just started sparring a month ago, so take this review with that information.  The Combat Corner shin guards have never slipped, and do a totally adequate job protecting me.  I'd recommend them to a friend or family member.  The staff helped me find the right fit, as well.
